Camellia Center

The Camellia Center is apart of the University of Alabama division of student affairs. The Tuscaloosa SAFE Center has partnered with the Camellia Center to provide medical advocacy to students of UA and Shelton State Community College who come to the SAFE Center. These services are free of charge and confidential. We are happy to contact the Camellia Center for you, they have an advocate on call 24/7 to provide:
-Accompaniment to TSC
-Crisis Counseling
-Safety Planning
-Location of Safe Housing
Academic Intervention with Missed Classes
-Info and Referrels

Title IX Services

Your school has the legal responsibility to address sexual harassment and sexual violence. Title IX offices are available are any learning institution and can assist you. Likewise, The Tuscaloosa SAFE Center can assist you in contact your school's Title IX office if you desire.

the Tuscaloosa SAFE Center is a member of the Alabama Coalition Against Rape (ACAR), which is a statewide non-profit organization working to prevent sexual violence in Alabama. ACAR advocates for countless victims and effects critical change through its active role in public policy, education, and training.
RAINN
(rape, abuse & incest national network)

The nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization and operator of the National Sexual Assault Hotline, RAINN’s mission is to stop sexual violence by supporting survivors, holding perpetrators accountable, and creating safer communities. Visit their website for more information!
